The fight for women’s equality has come a long way over the last century, but progress is not always linear. There is still so much work to do. Gender equality looks different across countries, communities, and cultures, but one thing is clear: it is a fight worth showing up for, again and again.

That is why we are proud to introduce Equality Now as Conscious Step’s newest nonprofit partner, and to launch a collection that supports their work toward a world where every woman and girl has equal rights, opportunities, and protection.

Who is Equality Now?

Equality Now is a global human rights organization using the power of law to advance gender equality and protect the rights of women and girls around the world. Their team of human rights lawyers, gender experts, and advocates works across 25 countries, partnering with grassroots organizations, governments, and international bodies including the United Nations and international court systems to drive real, systemic change.

They focus on four key priorities:

• Achieving legal equality
• Ending sexual exploitation
• Ending sexual violence
• Ending harmful practices like female genital mutilation, child marriage, and honor killings

Why Their Work Matters

Laws shape what is possible. Equality Now works behind the scenes to change the legal systems that define rights, protections, and opportunities, helping ensure equality is not just a promise but a reality.

Over the past 30 years, they have helped reform more than 130 discriminatory laws worldwide, including 15 in 2025 alone. These legal changes expanded rights and protections for more than 68 million women and girls, showing that systemic change is possible when people push for it together.

But progress is not guaranteed. Around the world, we are seeing pushback against women’s rights and hard-won protections. That is why Equality Now’s approach using the rule of law to create lasting, enforceable change is so critical. Their work helps future-proof equality for generations to come.
