Guys. It's time to change the world. Tell everyone!

On September 25th 2015, 193 world leaders will commit to 17 Global Goals to achieve 3 extraordinary things in the next 15 years - End extreme poverty. Fight inequality & injustice. Fix climate change. The Global Goals for sustainable development can get these things done in all countries, for all people. Here at Conscious Step, we make socks as a way to stand up in style while facing the world's biggest challenges. In the lead up to this great event, we’ve featured each goal and an organization that offers a sustainable solution. Below are 17 ways we can change the world.

Goal 1 of the ‪‎Globals Goals‬ is 'no poverty'. By 2030, nobody will live in extreme poverty anywhere in the world, because all lives matter. Oxfam provides a sustainable solution for goal 1. This organization believes that when people have the power to claim their basic human rights, they can escape poverty – permanently. This core belief underpins their development programs in more than 90 countries. With their partners, allies and with local communities, they help people to claim rights for themselves.

Goal 2 is ‘zero hunger’. By 2030, no one will go hungry anywhere in the world. Action Against Hunger, a global humanitarian organization committed to ending world hunger, works to save the lives of malnourished children while providing communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger. With our hunger socks, through our partnership with Action Against Hunger, you provide 6 food meals for a starving kid. The journey to end world hunger and goal 2 begins with a single step, after all.

Goal 3 is ‘good health and well being’. UNAIDS exists with the goal of eliminating HIV. Through our partnership with UNAIDS, each pair of our HIV socks provide 1 week of HIV therapy for an expectant mother. A tangible step for goal 3 looks good, but does better.

Goal 4 is ‘quality education’. Founded in 2000, Room to Read works to improve literacy rates across the globe. One way is by providing school books. In the past 15 years, Room to Read has provided 15M+ books to schoolchildren. By stepping into our education socks partnered with this organization, you're providing two more. Now, that's a tangible solution for goal 4.

By leveraging the internet and a worldwide network of microfinance institutions, Kiva lets individuals lend as little as $25 to help create opportunity around the world.

Goal 9 is ‘industry, innovation and infrastructure’. Since 1976, Habitat for Humanity has been changing lives by putting roofs over the heads of many. They build because they believe that everyone, everywhere, should have a healthy, affordable place to call home. More than building homes, they build communities, they build hope and they build the opportunity for families to help themselves. So, close your eyes and click your heels, because there's no place like home.
